LBMV1: Architect's Ensamble

My first entry for LBMV!!!


I've choose to inspire myself to the Opera House of Sydney. (I am sorry that has already been chosen, but I only found out today, I hope that this is not a problem) [link]

The daytime look is composed by shawl with Korean-like collar and long sleeves, top with front buttons and asymmetric hem, and a straight skirt with ruffle flounces at the bottom.

I've decided to take advantage of the rounded shapes of the Opera House to create a texture reminiscent of the "optical" look.

The entire suit is gabardine and faux leather for the shoes.


For the nighttime look I've used taffeta and strass for the neckline, golden lamè for the dress (golden because in this photo [link] the Opera House seems golden ), and folded tulle for the voilant that comes out from the bottom of the plackets at the end of the slightly flared skirt.

For the texture I've taken inspiration from the motif on the glasses of the Opera House.
